 Stripes!

I'm always trying new things with my eye shadow, and eye liner so I thought "why not stripes?"

I know this isn't the type of thing for everyone, and most likely wouldn't be considered wearable (though I wore this until it began to fade.)
Products used
Wet n Wild Eyeliners in Bronze & Cool Green

If you're planning on giving something like this a try, I'd highly recommend using a primer underneath as well as long wear or waterproof eyeliners!

Have you done anything unique with your eye shadow or liner recently?

Korres Pro Vitamin B5 & Rice Bran Mascara in Black
Alison Raffaele Light Shadow in Dusk - lid
W7 Eyeshadow in 05 Sky Blue - crease

This was my first time using the Korres Mascara as well as the Light Shadow. I'm not a fan of the Korres mascara, I didn't like how it made my lashes look. The Light Shadow I did like, it adds a pretty sheen to the lids.

Anastasia She Wears it Well Palette - lid Latte - inner corner Frosting - liner Onyx - crease Toffee & Onyx

No mascara? That's right!

I like to take a break from wearing mascara for a few days here & there. I've been wearing eye makeup a lot less lately because I've had eye issues, but it's also good to give your lashes a mascara-free vacation! :-p

So instead, I just curled my lashes.

Do you ever go mascara-less? --PS Hope you're liking the new blog design. :) Sorry I've been MIA lately!

I'm horrible at applying false eyelashes, but I'm getting better.. slowly!

This EOTD is inspired by Vita's suggestion to use Bali & Shambhala with a bright blue liner (Sorry I didn't use a brighter blue eyeliner, I didn't have one!)

I plan on doing more tutorials using Modern Minerals Eyeshadows. I chose this combination because I wanted to see if the blue (Shambhala) would further bring out the violet duochrome in Seychelles (which I think it did a good job of!)

Emani Minerals Eyeshadow Duo in Cooper Sage (I received this product for consideration about a year ago.)
Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow in Bunny Hop (Not cruelty-free.)
Kat Von D Autograph Eyeliner in Immortal Love
Reviva Labs HypoAllergenic Mascara  (Provided for consideration.)

I first applied Bunny Hop as a base.
I went over the top of Bunny Hop with the lightest shade from the Cooper Sage Duo.
In the crease I used the brown from the Cooper Sage Duo.
Last few steps..

Apply liner, and wing it out like a 1950s lady would (you know the drill!)

Curl those lashes!

Apply as many coats of mascara as it takes. (For me it was about 3.)
I also did a small wing under the eye. This is optional, but it's a great way to make your lashes look thicker, and heavier by creating a shadow.

For a softer look use pencil liner!

Apply peach shade to lids
Place brown shade in the crease and blend
Line 2/3 of upper lash-line, as well as your waterline and inner corners. I also smudged some liner on the lower lash-line.

Generally you would connect the inner corner line with the upper line, but I decided not to as it tends to close off eyes.

Apply mascara.

The finished look..

Stila Color Wheel (Colors used are circled.)
Technic Duo Volumising Extension Mascara
e.l.f Liquid Eyeliner in Midnight

Apply red shade to lids.
Add a chartreuse shade to the crease, almost to brow.
Next add a sapphire shade between the red and chartreuse. Be sure to blend out the edges, but don't over blend because it will make the shadow look muddy.
Add a white, shimmery hightlight.

Using a navy liner to line upper lashline. Wing it out.

Curl lashes, apply mascara.

The finished look..
If you have green or blue eyes this would be stunning on you!

Bonne Bell Eye Style Mascara
1. Prime eyes.

2. Apply Gunmetal to lids.
3. Apply Buck to crease.
4. Apply Zero or any black liner to top lash line and around eye, smudge it out. Apply Virgin to brow bone.
5. Go back over liner on lid with Gunmetal.
6. Apply a white liner to waterline.

7. Curl lashes, apply mascara.

The finished look
It was difficult recreating this look because it appeared different in various lighting. Some photos it looked dark gray almost black, and in others it looked like a frosty medium silver.

Obviously this doesn't look the same on me because my eye color, and  eye shape is different than hers, but I think you get the gist.
