Organic Essence were kind enough to send me 3 flavors to review.

Vanilla
Grapefruit
Mint
First off the packaging, how unique is it?

You're probably wondering how it works.

Just like a normal lip balm you twist/pull off the cap, but the cool part is instead of a plastic dial to push the product up, all you have the do is pinch the bottom of the container, a really neat concept!

Reminds me of those ice pops, you know the ones in the clear plastic tubes? Except these are much better for the environment they're made out of recycled paper, they're bio-degradable, recyclable & you can even use them as compost, once you've finished the product of course.

Vanilla & Grapefruit are my favorite flavors. I notice a slight sweet scent with the vanilla, not much of a flavor, and the Grapefruit has a fresh citrus scent, and flavor, but nothing overpowering.

The mint smells & tastes just like peppermint, and it tingles when applied!

These are not greasy they're quite a thick consistency, but not at all heavy, they feel very light and moisturizing on your lips.

They're colorless, but they do provide a little shine on the lips.

I'm also going to do a mini review on the Grapefruit Organic Shea Cream since they sent me a sample!
I think the container is so cute!

It smells amazing! Just like grapefruit & oranges.

I've never had a lotion/cream like this one, it just melts in to your skin, and leaves a glossy glow, perfect to use on your legs! Just be sure not to apply too much.

I've taken a photo so you can get an idea of what I mean
It has no actual bits of shimmer/glitter in it.

I feel like this is the perfect summer lotion because it's quite light, and gives a nice glow!

 Cream advantages

Is a little pricey, but you can get away with only using a small amount of product.

  11. What a great idea for lip gloss packaging! Do you think it would get smushed in a purse, or is the paper rigid enough to protect the product? I wish more retailers would think about all of the packaging they use... even just the wrapping and cardboard inserts that surround the actual product itself!

I think it would be okay in a purse as long as you put the cap on tightly, it's sturdy cardboard. My only concern would be it melting in your purse, but that's with any lippie. :)
